1.) Full disclosure, I co-founded a Church Website CMS called iMinistries. I am obviously biased based on my life experiences.

2.) While WordPress is very cost-effective, you have to know someone who will help you set it up and/or maintain it. We have found through our customers experiences that the individuals who are excited to help, either become burdened by the questions that come from the church and stop responding to their requests or they actually leave the church all together. This leaves them high and dry. It’s both shocking and disappointing.

3.) We offer both free templates that work with our CMS as well as being available to create a custom design. While I do agree with you that the design is very important, we have many who use our content management system and are super excited about using some of our free templates. Often times, those clients have a few hundred dollars to spend and they put it towards having us create a customer banner and/or ads.
