1 in 4 Americans Predict Second Coming
The Smithsonian Magazine recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. 1,545 adults were asked to guess the outcome of various things in the next 40 years. That’s a really good sampling to determine the mindset of Americans!
1 in 4 Americans believe that Christ will return by 2050. And a whopping 58% of evangelicals do.
So what’s your Church doing to educate the general population about the second coming? Especially with the news items of the Mayan Calendar ending in 2012.
Think it’s important? It is for those who have no basis of hope.
Seems like a perfect opportunity for bringing the community into the church or educating the church so they have the answers to share with their neighbors and friends.
