3 Things to Reflect on This Time of Year
The Bible talks about the stupidity of looking into the mirror and quickly forgetting what you just saw. Christmas is full of glitter and shimmer. All those little pieces of reflective lights should remind us to do some reflective thought.
As we wrap up another year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the last 12 months. Time flies by so fast!
3 things to reflect on in your Church work:
- The things that went great. Itemize the successes, the “why” behind them, and their outcomes. Are they things you want to replicate this coming year? Or should you change them to improve them even more?
- The things that could be improved. If the formula of “effort = results” didn’t seem to work; then consider if you want to try to improve or eliminate them this coming year.
- The things were total failures. If you don’t have these, you didn’t try enough new, creative things. Know that failure is the greatest tutorial. Don’t try for failure; but learn from it.
But most of all; enjoy your time off. Every moment with Family. And spend personal time with the Babe in the Manger. Let Him fill you, energize you, and give you reason to anticipate 2013. Merry Christmas.
