
Who Is My Audience?
When a legal expert asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” it followed the command to “love your neighbor as yourself.”
Well, it’s tax time. I’m sure I don’t have to remind you of this.
What that means is that every time you drive near a tax preparation location you get banners, balloons, dancing Statue of Liberties, gorillas or lineups.
There’s a TV commercial that seems to be on all the time. It states something like, “I prepared my taxes online myself, then I took them to H&R block and they found a large deduction I couldn’t believe I missed!”. The tag line is:
H&R Block. You don’t know what you don’t know.
I like it. It’s catchy and it states an obvious truth that I realize every time I try to do things myself.
The professionals do it better.
When it comes to marketing and advertising, do you realize the amount of classes, degrees, on the job training, and research we (in this business) have done?!?
That’s why I chuckle when someone says, “I’m going to do it myself, it seems pretty easy”.
Well, I’m sorry, but, you don’t know what you don’t know!
