You DON’T NEED a website!
It’s that time of year when you hear people say they want to change themselves. And when they tell you what they’re trying to change, they mention how they’re going to do it. Like: “I want to get into shape” and they suggest “I’m going to go to the gym once a week”.
You know that won’t work. But they REALLY think it will. You know they need to go to a gym 3-4 times a week (with a trainer); and overhaul their horrendous diet. Not as easy sounding; but it’ll work better.
Well, we get calls all the time from churches, ministries and businesses. They’re well-meaning. They have huge communication issues. And they say, “I need a new website”.
They don’t need a new website!
The 3 things they ACTUALLY need:
- A Strategy – everyone needs a strategy for their communications. What do you want to achieve, what goals do you want met, what is your audience looking for from you? How will you deliver it? A strategy spells it out.
- Better Content – People come to your website to find content. Not a cool looking design. It can be fun to find that, but ultimately they NEED well-produced content.
- A Content Management System (CMS) – You need to have the ability to change your content regularly. If you’re not changing it, why would you expect people to come back regularly? This CMS should be easy to use, able to be delegated to many people (with password protection), and not come at a high cost (ours is free).
So, are you ready to do the HARD work? You don’t need a new website; but it may be part of the overall plan. But a new website won’t solve your problems. You need a communications coach. You need PinPoint. Contact us today.
