You’ve probably noticed that you don’t like reading long articles or even wordy emails. Everyone is overwhelmed with information. We just don’t have excess time. Website analytics prove this. In fact, most people spend less than 10 seconds on a web page! Based on average reading skills, that’s about 50 words. And research shows that if you go over the 50-word threshold; less people will stay on the page. Rule of (digital) thumb: If you want more readers; write less. If you write more; you’ll engage less Many people are building websites that no one will read. That's a pure waste of time and money!

3 Things to Help You Reply

I have a pet peeve. I hate when people don't respond quickly to emails, texts, voicemails. And it seems like the time frame for hearing back from people is growing. To me, it's like saying something in a conversation and the other person just blankly stares at you with no reply. It drives me crazy. Statistics say that people respond quickest through text. Then emails. Then voicemail. In fact, people are less apt to check their voicemail than the other 2. Recently, another study showed that the majority of people actually like getting branded emails. So what do those 2 things have in common? Your clients/customers/audience have been communicating with you all year long. They want to hear back from you. Especially during holidays....
