The simple, yet distinguished, visual identity of First Baptist Fort Smith is a refined blend of history and modern professionalism. Rooted in the rich heritage of Fort Smith, Arkansas, the church’s branding exudes a sense of tradition while maintaining a simple and elegant aesthetic.
Instead of a traditional logo symbol with words, the church’s primary mark is a beautifully crafted, personalized script that reflects the warmth and authenticity of the community.
A particularly clever and meaningful touch in the script is the final “t” in “Baptist,” which subtly forms a larger cross (to balance the capital F at the beginning).
This intentional design decision underscores the church’s core message — the Gospel — without being overly stylized. It serves as a visual cue to the faith that defines the congregation of First Baptist Fort Smith, a place where every visitor will clearly hear about Jesus.
To complement the script wordmark, and provide a recognizable visual element, the Be Known For Something church branding team recommended a badge-style logo as well.
This design choice offers a flexible and professional “emblem” for various applications when a symbol is needed.
